The LTFC is designed in a modular way for eventually 3 passes and to deliver about 1 GeV of electron beam energy in its complete configuration. This picture shows a principal structure of two parallel linacs comprising two 2-cavity cryomodules each to achieve 75 MeV acceleration per Linac and pass. In Step 1 the accelerator has one pass.

The design comprises three different regions, the linac optics, the recirculation optics and the merger optics. two-step-achromat spreaders and mirror symmetric recombiners have been implemented. The switchyard separates all three arcs into 1 meter high vertical stack. The 180 deg arc is made of 4 dipoles.
